Description:

Under minimal supervision, assembles, tests and repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical systems and components. Applies knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in assembly of harnesses and systems for marine use. Provides skilled electrical/electronic support to all areas of Manufacturing.

• Must have own tools; 2 x 20v impact drills, stubby socket set, wrench set, allen wrench sets, screw driver set, channel locks, vise grips, tape measure, etc.
• Builds, assembles and/or repairs mechanical and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, wire harnesses, power supplies, drives, gages, and test equipment.
• Informs appropriate management and line mechanics of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.
• Maintains company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of proven experience in the electrical/electronic and mechanical pneumatic fields are required and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areas.
• Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• A thorough knowledge of electrical/ electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes.
• Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner

• Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to 10 hours per day

• Will exert up to 50 pounds of force to lift, push or pull on a regular basis
• May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
