General Description of the Job Class

Perform a variety of routine duties in a hospital clinic to assist medical and nursing st aff in the examination and treatment of patients; set up and clean exami nation rooms.

Schedule:

Mon- Fri - Remote and in office schedule.

No Weekends and Holidays.

Duties and Responsibilities of this Level

Perform a variety of routine duties in a hospital clinic to assist medical and nursing staff in the examination and treatment of pat ients to include obtaining and recording data for medical records, collecting and preparing specimens for laboratory analysis and undressing, cl eansing and positioning patients for specific procedures.

Perform routine examination and treatment procedures to inc lude administering enemas, removingcasts, cleaning wounds and applying medications and dressings. Set up and clean examination rooms to include changing linen and making beds; set up instruments and equipment for sp ecific procedures; hand instruments, supplies and equipment to examining physician.

Pick up and deliver specimens, equipment, messa ges and supplies as directed; maintain inventory of supplies in examinat ion rooms, replenish as required.

Escort and transport patients to various hospitallocations; schedule patient appoi ntments and prepare related records. Maintain work area in clean and ord erly condition; wash and sterilize a variety of medical supplies. Perfor m other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
