• To review referrals and authorizations
• To confirm patient benefits and insurance
• To create insurance claims and track payments
• To follow up on late or missed payments
• To file and organize documentation of all billing
• To update and review all patient accounts
• To monitor and resolve insurance discrepancies

Requirements and skills:

• Proven experience as a medical biller or similar position
• Understanding of medical terminology
• Great attention to detail
• Proficient in computer skills, data entry & coding
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Confidentiality and trustworthiness
• Excellent ability to organize & coordinate tasks
