Victory Recovery Partners is an Outpatient Addiction Recovery Center looking for a medical receptionist to join our growing team. Positions available for Suffolk County, NY in Farmingville and Shirley. The Medical Receptionist performs a wide variety of duties and responsibilities in a manner that places emphasis on quality of care and customer service, collaborating with medical staff to ensure a patient centered approach to care.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Performs clerical duties that drive efficient patient flow.
• Prepares patients for provider visits.
• Answer phone calls.
• Schedule appointments.
• Conducts a review of scheduled patient’s charts to assist with pre-visit planning.
• Assists staff with completion of paperwork on behalf of patients including, but not limited to, prior authorizations for treatments and prescriptions, patient benefits, entitlements, disability and any other agency inquiries as assigned.
• Thoroughly records information with the EMR to meet clinical requirements.

Experience, Education and Required Skills/Abilities:

• Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally in writing and verbally, and must demonstrate the ability to multitask and work effectively in a high-stress and fast-moving environment.
• Excellent customer service skills required. Sensitivity to Drug/Alcohol Addiction, Mental Health Issues.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year experience working in a healthcare practice, experience at addiction treatment center preferred.
• Insurance/Billing Knowledge a plus.
• Strong Computer Skills, familiarity working with EMR strongly preferred.
• High attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills.
• Spanish speaking preferred.

Salary commensurate with experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour
