Role: Medical Writer I

Location: Abbott Park, IL 60064

Duration: 7 Months on W2

Shift Timings: 8 AM to 4 PM

- Hybrid role (4 days onsite and 1 day remote).

- Open to National search (Relocation at own expense)

Looking For:

• Blood Transfusion products
• Create technical documents in quality-approved systems.
• Independently write the documents; Work closely with the regulatory team.
• Run meetings with team members if needed.
• Scientific writing experience for 1 to 2 years
• If a candidate has 1 Year of medical writing exp in the med device industry, it is a big plus.
• Well Organized and able to keep track of different projects they will be working on.
• Must be strong at using Microsoft tools.
• Regulatory focused background candidate who has some compliance exp and little technical written experience, the manager will consider those candidates.
• Must have good writing skills and be trainable.
• Candidates with Regulatory/Medical writing exp in the Pharma industry will be a plus.
• Documentation specialists exp in Quality will also be considered if they have written documents on their own.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Science is required.
• Scientific writing experience for 1 to 2 years
• If a candidate can highlight writing exp in their bachelor's, the manager will consider (Writing courses will be plus; they need to add a writing piece they have done during their academics with the resume).

Top Skills:

• Well written Resume is key to identifying the skills; Punctuation, bullet points!
• Providing examples in resumes showing their skill sets.
• Organization skills, Self-starter, Attention to detail

Interview Process:

• Phone screening followed by panel video.
