NiteLines USA is currently looking for Mental Health Techs to join the team!
The Mental Health Techs should provide support and mental health administrative support in psychiatry, psychology and social worker programs in the 6th Operational Medical Readiness Squadron. Conducts a variety of record reviews to screen for many mental health, family advocacy, substance abuse diagnoses and treatments. In that capacity, provides quality review and analysis of a wide range of patient medical records, ensuring accuracy of coding and maintaining records in accordance with accepted medical and legal standards.
SCOPE OF WORK: The incumbent of this position is the Mental Health Support Specialist and is responsible for supporting the psychologists, social workers, psychiatrists, and mental health technicians in assessing patients for the appropriate level of care and the scheduling of patient.
1.DEGREE: Baccalaureate of Arts in Psychology degree or other population health-related fields from an accredited educational institution is required.
2.EXPERIENCE: Previous experience working in mental health inpatient or outpatient clinic is highly desirable. Experience with Composite Health Care System (CHCS) and Armed Force Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA) is desired. Must have computer skills in data management, Excel, and Power Point.
3. OTHER: Knowledge of the correct spelling and meaning of medical terminology commonly used by the medical facility; and correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and format to accurately prepare and edit written documents and reports. Knowledge and use of medical terminology to accurately prepare and edit written correspondence and reports IAW Medical standards. Knowledge of the standardized body of rules, procedures, policies, and operations of the medical facility to determine patient eligibility, schedule appointments, maintain appointment schedules, make referrals, give instructions to patients, assemble and update patients’ charts, record physicians’ orders, and retrieve x-rays, laboratory reports, and other relevant patient data. Knowledge of common and well-established medical record procedures and regulations to include administration, filing, researching, handling, securing, and completing sufficient to provide property filed and completed patient records.
