The Job You Will Perform:

The Mill Learning Leader at International Paper’s Riegelwood Mill will be responsible for providing primary support to the Mill for the Global Manufacturing Training Program. This will include: new hire integration, department orientation, position/skill block training and certification, training materials management and training documentation. The individual will ensure consistency of the training program for all mill team members and alignment with mill goals.

• Set and maintain mill goals for training including: job position priorities, schedule and training matrix
• Set expectations for trainees, trainers and supervisors in the training process
  • As well as provide feedback to all parties
• Help develop, update and maintain training material including: MyLearning curriculums, procedures and other blended learning training materials
• Help develop, update, and maintain certification question database
• Incorporate all new policy and procedural changes into training systems
• Champion for continuous improvement in training systems for the mill
• Ensure scenario drills are completed annually
• Provide department operations support as needed
• Coordinate required state certification
• Identify staff development and training needs as well as ensure training is obtained
  • Track training hours by employee
  • Manager refresher training needs

The Skills You Will Bring:

• A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in training and development
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with team members while training
• Familiarity with a Learning Management System (LMS)
• Pulp & Paper experience preferred
