Job Summary:

The Global Supply Chain Planning Business Process Owner (BPO) Associate Director will manage the IBP process and provide vision, leadership and direction to the ZimVie Supply Chain Organization on the optimization of complex planning processes.


Primary responsibilities include leading a set of monthly decision-making processes to balance demand and supply, to integrate demand planning, financial planning and operational planning, and to link high level strategic plans with day-to-day operations. This role is also responsible for ensuring that all parties are aware of the key business issues, reconciliation and recommendations developed, and kept informed of decisions made throughout the process


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategy & Vision

  • Responsible for the demand planning process for ZimVie
  • Responsible for implementing, managing and facilitating the IBP process for ZimVie Responsible for ensuring that key business issues are reconciled, recommendations are proposed, and the information pack is analysed and prepared in order to support effective IR, MBR, and IBO (Integrated Business Optimization)
  • Standardize and continuously improve supply chain processes and systems relating to operational, management, and decision support
  • Leading Continuous Improvement/transformation, Steering Committee participation, leadership teams for Supply Chain
  • Responsible for the standardizing processes and influencing generation of the overall supply and distribution plan and associated financial rollup, assumptions and change drivers
  • Develop advance strategies throughout each stage of the process lifecycle, including new process launch planning and execution, process rationalization, and performance monitoring
  • Oversee generation of supply plans for production transfer projects


Operational

  • Business leader and facilitator of the overall IBP /end-to-end cross-functional process for ZimVie
  • Collaborate with regional marketing and sales teams to establish demand plans that are aligned to revenue plans. Responsible for driving global forecast accuracy.
  • Ensure that issues and imbalances, which surface during the monthly cycle, are reviewed, resolved, or escalated. Discussions to review, resolve, or escalate issues may occur one on one, in small groups, or in a group meeting prior to the MBR.
  • Prepare information pack and manage action plan and decisions made during the MBR.
  • Ensure full understanding of the significant financial implications of any changes to the demand, supply, product, and project plans.
  • Design and maintain policies and procedures around the Supply Chain processes for ZimVie
  • Drive E2E, IBP and Ops Planning team development, capability, and continuous process improvement
  • Responsible for consistent and standardized performance metrics across the supply chain organization
  • Apply Class A principles and best practices
  • Develop and maintain training programs for supply chain teams on processes and process optimization
  • Identify and disseminate best practices within supply chain
  • Responsible for monitoring current technology adoption and effectiveness across the supply chain organization
  • Provide internal and external best practices and benchmarks to supply chain processes within ZimVie
  • Cross functional problem solving, automatic inclusion in improvement projects
  • Ensure all activities must be performed in compliance with the Quality System
  • Monitor hyper care after new process and/or system implementations
  • Business owner for supply chain systems
  • Collaborate with manufacturing sites and vendors to formulate supply plans for production transfer projects that align with the ramp up and ramp down plans, while complying with regulatory requirements
  • Manage department budget to deliver value to organization while achieving plan and support cost savings initiatives
  • Expected travel 25-50%


People Management

  • Provide leadership to department under control and manage, coach and develop direct reports and manage high performing teams that deliver continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions
  • Ensure strong communication between teams under leadership to facilitate exchange of information and in order to implement change and improvements
  • Ensure that all functions under supervision operate in accordance with health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety of staff and visitors

  • Provide leadership, coordination and coaching to the team, ensuring they are trained enabling them to achieve the operational and financial metrics within their areas of responsibility and succeed in their roles

Expected Areas of Competence (i.e., knowledge, skills, and abilities)

  • Expertise in one or more supply chain planning related systems
  • Hold leadership and cross-functional teams accountable to expectations
  • Strong communication, planning, and negotiation skills
  • General management experience, including staffing, organization, and motivating team members
  • Strong understanding of end to end supply chain interactions and activities
  • Strong understanding of Class A and best practices
  • Ability to use analytical tools to issue, support, and execute decisions
  • Ability to communicate effectively both upwards, downwards, and across the organization
  • Project management concepts and techniques
  • Understanding of the E2E supply chain processes, broad Supply Chain knowledge
  • Must have strong analytical, project management, and consulting skills, with the ability to influence, work effectively, and implement solutions in a cross-functional, team environment

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics, operations, industrial engineering, systems engineering
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in supply chain business process optimization, S&OP/IBP/E2E, Demand & Supply planning.
  • Project management experience required
  • Experience in sales, customer management, strategy and performance management strongly preferred
  • Leadership/Management experience required
  • APICS CPIM and/or CSCP certification preferred
  • PMP certification preferred
  • MBA preferred in related field


Travel Requirements

Up to 5%


Salary Range: 131,957.00 – 173,194.00 + annual bonus
