Description:

Scope of the project:

Design and develop the Client traffic engineering (te) data communications statewide infrastructure. Must have significant (10 years+) experience designing intelligent transportation systems for statewide and municipal entities, specifically traffic signals, interstate communications, and emerging technologies surrounding v2i/v2v solutions.

Daily duties / responsibilities:

• Design and develop the Client traffic engineering data communications statewide infrastructure. Must have significant (10 years+) experience designing intelligent transportation systems for statewide and municipal entities, specifically traffic signals, interstate (its) communications, Client, and emerging technologies surrounding v2i/v2v solutions.
• Person will be responsible for advising/implementing the ongoing implementation of the Client te communications network.
• Additionally, person will be responsible for providing a technology integration road map to allow the agency to provide secure/reliable communications for all aspects of the Client communications infrastructure.

Required skills (rank in order of importance):

• Networking Lan/wan/man (cisco).

• Network security (cisco).

• IP multicast.

• Wireless broadband communications (licensed/unlicensed).

• Cellular communications as it relates to traffic signal communications and intelligent transportation solutions.

Experience with the following applications/hardware:

• Trafficcast, trafficware, iteris, siemens, cisco systems, Cohu, axis, cambium networks, Sierra wireless, 2070 traffic controllers, conflict monitors.

• Problem Solving Skills.

Required education/certifications:

• B.S. Computer Information Systems.

• B.S. Computer Science.

• B.S. Computer Engineering.

• OR 15 Years Of Work Experience.

• Administrative Problem Solving Skills Yes 1 Expert Currently Using 6 + Years

• Desktop/PC Support TRAFFICCAST AND TRAFFICWARE Yes 1 Expert Currently Using 6 + Years

• Network Security Ability to install and use various security tools Yes 1 Expert Currently Using 6 + Years

• Networking & Directories Local Area Network (LAN) Yes 1 Expert Currently Using 6 + Years

• Operating Systems/APIs Wide Area Network (WAN) Yes 1 Expert Currently Using 6 + Years
