Job Summary/Description:

This is your chance to join WLOX News Now as a News Photographer. This opportunity is for someone who wants to capture the Gulf Coast's top news stories on TV and on our digital platforms. WLOX News Now regularly produces Mississippi's best newscast. Working as a photographer in this market will launch your career inside Gray Media.

Duties/Responsible for (but not limited to) the following:

• Use a camera and microphone to capture breaking news with a sense of urgency and impact
• Operate live equipment to bring viewers to news scenes in multiple live shots a day
• Pitch story ideas and contribute to editorial discussions
• Develop and cultivate sources
• Shoot and edit visually compelling stories
• Post videos and pictures on WLOX digital platforms

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a camera operator and/or editor
• Strong camera skills
• Social media proficiency required
• Excellent time management skills
