Compensation & Benefits:

Night Shift: 6p-6a 3 days a week

Salary $50,000 - $57,000

The Production Supervisor provides overall direction and guidance to the operational activities on production line with the objective of maximizing operational efficiency and profitability as well as daily leadership and management to all NHBCO/ Genesis production line activities.

Essential Functions
  • Supervisor and direct safety on production line.
  • Respond to any operational or employee issue. Report on a daily basis if necessary.
  • Maintain product quality daily and take action if necessary.
  • Ensure all company policies, procedures, and standards are being adhered to.
  • Be sure existing labor contract is being adhered to and maintains working relationship.
  • Lead and develop the production employees.
  • Support the efforts on sustainability and zero landfill waste.
  • Maintain inventory control on finished Products.
  • Communicate job expectations
  • Communicate with other shift supervisors and Superintendent.
  • Coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.
  • Coordinate production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers.
  • Complete production plan by establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting in shift log.
  • Responsible to meet customer needs and expectations.
Additional Responsibilities

  • Insure proper reporting of variances and profitability.
  • Performance reviews of new hires and trainee personnel.
  • Look for and suggest ideas for cost effectiveness.
  • Provide production support when needed.
  • Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs.

Specific Responsibilities Relating to Food Safety, Legality, and Quality
  • Ensures that all the jobs that are relieved are done properly.
  • Properly reads, comprehends, and completes required forms
  • Reports and takes necessary action to prevent food safety, legality, and quality problems from occurring.
  • Follows and enforces programs and procedures outlined in the Food Safety and Quality Manual to support compliance with the GFSI Standard and other third-party audits
Abilities Required
Have the ability to perform all jobs in Muffin and/or Bun make-up.
Able to lift 50 pounds. Able to stand for 12 hours a day. Able to communicate with other employees. Able to follow written and verbal instructions in a timely manner.
