Position Summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for performing technical duties utilizing nuclear medicine imaging equipment and supplies to obtain satisfactory imaging for exams and procedures performed on patients of all ages. The Nuclear Medicine Technologic is also responsible for performing clerical duties specific to all areas of the Imaging Services Department.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job:

• Utilizes all electronic systems effectively and appropriately.
• Assists with clerical duties.
• Demonstrates the required technical knowledge to perform quality imaging for all nuclear medicine exams and procedures while providing quality patient care and safety.
• Performs quality imaging appropriate to patients of all ages and conditions.
• Assures appropriate patient identification is performed and indication and history for exam is documented.

Pay Range: $49/hr - $71/hr

Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Minimum Requirements

Qualifications/Work Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year acute care hospital experience or equivalent.

Education/Licensure/Certification:

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
• Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Nuclear Medicine preferred.
• Current NMTCB license preferred
• California Nuclear Medicine Technologist license (CNMT) required
• Current American Heart Association BLS card required
