GENERAL DESCRIPTION
:
-
The Nurse Practitioner performs pre-employment/pre-placement and annual/biannual physical examinations, fitness for duty evaluations, substance abuse and breath alcohol screenings.
-
Provides evaluations and treatment of work related injury/illness for CompreCare clients, including businesses, industries, and Harrington Hospital.
-
Consults with Medical Director, Director, team members, employers, and insurers as required.
-
Duties may be added or altered as needs of the department change.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
:
- Minimum of two years experience in Occupational Health or adult health clinic preferred.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
:
-
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current R.N. licensure by the Massachusetts B.O.R.N.

Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program and current Nurse Practitioner licensure by the Massachusetts B.O.R.N.
-
Certification as a Federal Department of Transportation Medical Examiner preferred.

Certification as a Breath Alcohol Technician preferred.
-
American Heart Association or equivalent B.L.S. certification for health care provider required upon hire or during orientation.
