Western Nebraska Community College is accepting applications for a Nursing Instructor/Simulation Coordinator. This faculty position is based of the Scottsbluff Campus with some travel to the Alliance and Sidney Campuses.

Responsibilities: This is a full-time Nursing faculty position that may be granted partial release time to serve as the Simulation Coordinator for the Health Sciences Division at all three WNCC campuses. The Simulation Coordinator collaborates with faculty throughout the Health Sciences Division to develop, deliver, and assess simulation experiences that contribute to the achievement of course learning objectives and are consistent with program specific evidence-based guidelines. The individual in this position assures the effective and efficient operation of the lab, facilitate and assess simulation experiences, and oversee the operation of various levels of fidelity technology to ensure safe and effective use of simulation equipment. The Nursing Instructor/Simulation Coordinator supports the vision and mission of Western Nebraska Community College, the Health Sciences Division, and the Nursing Programs.

Qualifications: MSN highly preferred; a minimum of one-year full-time nursing experience and current Nebraska license required. BSN with extensive nursing experience considered. Candidates who do not possess a master’s degree must commit to and complete a graduate program in nursing or nursing education. Previous teaching experience preferred, along with a demonstrable record of success in coordinating clinical experiences. Three years of recent work experience as a registered nurse in medical/surgical and one-year work experience in a clinical lab setting preferred. Certification in simulation labs through CHSE encouraged.
