OJT Technical Training Instructor (Mining)

Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is currently seeking an OJT Technical Training Instructor (Mining) to join our team to support our Government customer in Carlsbad, New Mexico
The candidate will be primarily responsible for overseeing on-the-job training activities for the Underground Miner position. Candidate will also assist Technical Technical with instructor activities as needed. Candidate will report daily to Mine Operations Manager and will be matrixed to Technical Training.
Exempt Salary Grade (32-34)

- Bachelor’s degree and ten (10) years of working experience, or
- Associate’s degree with fourteen (14) years of working experience, or
- High School Diploma or Equivalency with eighteen (18) years of working experience is required.
- Experience must include a minimum of 10 years experience working in the Underground.
- Candidate must be Underground qualified as defined by 30 CFR.
- Also, candidate must have a strong background in training, safety, conduct of operations and mining operations.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Level I Instructor qualifications.
- Previous instructor training experience at WIPP to include Limited Condition of Operations, Technical Surveillance Requirements and DSA training. Previous experience with Systematic Approach to Training is preferred.
- WIPP experience is preferred.
