Responsibilities
The Operational Excellence Specialist will have responsibility for driving operational excellence and assisting in establishing a sustainable continuous improvement culture across the Stuart site. This highly hands-on role will lead process improvements that meet business needs, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in leading strategic initiatives and contribute to the overall performance of the business.
The Operational Excellence Specialist is expected to be a change leader and manager, partnering with Senior Leaders across the site to assist in developing and executing their specific continuous improvement roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities :
Partner with Directors to understand the biggest risks/challenges/opportunities
Own/manage your CI Roadmap (Good dates, right Project Managers, accurate financials, etc.)
Facilitate the CI Steering Committee
Facilitate the inventory meeting for your area of responsibility
Facilitate Kaizen Events & VSM’s as required and ensure follow up
Engage & coach TCA’s through their journey
Plan for and teach TOS training (2-day course & 2-4 hr overview training)
Update or ensure information is current in war rooms and the Obeya as required
Send a weekly summary of accomplishment / next steps, as well as Kaizens (this week/next week)
Policy Deployment – Annual Session with Leaders and Monthly Cadence Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred concentration in engineering, manufacturing/operations, or an equivalent level of degree and experience.
5+ years of leadership experience in progressively responsible roles and owned results
5+ years of experience facilitating, coaching and implementing Lean/six sigma events and driving major lean transformations with proven results.
Aerospace and Manufacturing Experience preferred
Strong Skillset and Passion for Continuous Improvement / Operational Excellence
Executive presence – ability to work with senior leaders and staff levels with minimal guidance
Strong communication skills – ability to prepare concise presentations and deliver clear messages to a wide variety of audiences
Proven ability to successfully interface with cross functional teams, at all levels of the organization and implement improvement within an established time frame, then sustain improvements.
Lean and Six Sigma Certifications or equivalent (green belt, black belt, master black belt)
High energy, team oriented, data driven, and results focused.
Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
