We are a well-respected and established multi-physician Ophthalmic practice in Encino, CA.

We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented, punctual, reliable, and organized candidate to fill our part-time or full-time orthoptist position. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

**Compulink Electronic Health Record System experience preferred

**35-45 WPM min. typing is required

**Monday-Friday, no weekends required

** PAY RATE depends on experience and whether a candidate is certified by the American Association of Certified Orthoptists (AACO)

JOB DESCRIPTION: TECHNICIAN / ORTHOPTIST

Regular Duties

• Documents Patient Medical and Social History
• Documents Medications and Allergies
• Checks Visual Acuity
• Performs Lensometry
• Performs Manual Refraction (Minus)
• Performs Tonometry
• Performs ASCAN
• Performs Corneal Topography
• Performs Optos Fundus Photography
• Performs OCT imaging
• Performs Visual Field Tests
• Prepares prior authorizations when required
• Measures muscle problems/pre-op and post-op. Discuss possible surgery with doctors
• Supervises exercises for certain types of muscle problems that are not operable
• Sensorimotor evaluation (prism)
• Mounts fresnell prisms or lens on glasses for small muscle imbalances or trial of bifocals
• Maintains medical/orthoptic records for patients

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
