Job Title: Night Security Weekends (Friday, Saturday, & Sunday)

Basic Function

To ensure the safety of our guests, associates, and resort property at all times.

Responsibilities

1) Must adhere to Shell Island Handbook and Standard Operating Procedures

2) Ensuring guest experience at Shell Island is top notch

3) Conduct interior and exterior patrols throughout shift checking for unsecured doors, suspicious persons or activities, and potential security and safety risks.

4) Handle undesired conduct and potential violations of hotel policy as necessary for the security and safety of hotel guests, associates, and resort property.

5) Remain courteous, professional, and helpful but firm while enforcing resort policies and procedures.

6) Respond immediately to all guest and associate calls making emergencies a top priority

7) Know and monitor the safety systems on property including location of alarm pull stations, location of fire extinguishers and a basic understanding of the fire panel.

8) Create reports on all activities during each shift, including any incident reports and patrol logs and submit them to management on a daily basis.

9) In the absence of the night auditor, oversee the front desk for short periods of time.

10) Must comply with the attendance policies and available to work Mondays and Tuesdays from 11:00pm-7:00am

11) Holidays are a must

Physical

Requires standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, and stooping

Will be required to be able to lift, carry, push or pull persons, packages, luggage, wheelchairs, and safety equipment weighing 50-100 pounds

Skills

Good verbal communication skills, extensive use of two way radio, problem solving skills
