Opportunities for Full or Part-Time employment upon completion of the class and 30 day of On-the-Job Training period. Additionally, you will have 120 days of support and mentorship while you prepare for the Oregon Board Certification Test.
What you learn:
- Assist residents with daily needs and activities, like bathing, eating, preparation for activity and social programs and transporting residents to/from appointments.
- Check residents routinely to ensure that their personal care needs are being met in accordance with their wishes.
- Review and follow care plans daily to determine if changes to care routine have been made on the care plan.
- Inform the Nurse Supervisor of any changes in the resident’s condition so that appropriate information can be entered on the resident’s care plan.
- Create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and a calm and cheerful environment.
- Ensure that resident’s rooms are ready for receiving visitors and make residents comfortable.
Requirements
- Must possess a minimum of a 10th grade education.
- All applicants must pass a criminal background check.
- Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Effectively communicate necessary resident information to Charge Nurses, Director of Nursing and/or Administrator.
Please Note: Effective Oct. 18, 2021, all Avamere employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they have an approved medical or religious exception. If you are hired by Avamere after Oct. 18, 2021, you will need to be fully vaccinated (or obtain an approved exemption) prior to starting work and need to provide proof of vaccination (or approved exemption) within 10 days of starting work.
Avamere offers tuition reimbursement for Nursing School or other Healthcare Professional courses after one year of full-time employment.
