Shift Differential:

  • 1st: N/A
  • 2nd: $1.00
  • 3rd: $1.50

Position Summary:

Lead a group of Palletizers in correctly stacking product for shipment. Count the product and enter the product into inventory using a barcode scanner.

Shift Times: This is a second shift position (hours may vary +/- based on production needs) and subject to weekend work:

First: 6:45am-3:15pm

Second: 2:45pm - 11:15pm

Third: 10:45pm - 7:15am

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the efforts of the palletizers in their duties. Assist in giving breaks. Rotate assignments as needed
  • Prepare the pallet area for operation. Ensure that tapers are adjusted to case dimensions and loaded with tape. Ensure that the metal detector in the pallet room is functioning properly
  • Apply pallet tags to pallets and scan the pallets into inventory by operating a RF scanner. Ensure that the SKU number, date of manufacture, and quantity are correct. Assist the inventory control manager in resolving discrepancies in inventories of product produced
  • Isolate damaged cases and take action to ensure that unacceptable cases are properly re-cased, re-melted, or otherwise handled
  • Maintain documentation of production output by reporting the cases produced on the schedule
  • Maintain the area by ensuring that housekeeping, sanitation, trash removal, and re-boxing of damaged materials are completed
  • Assist in loading tape onto tape machines and adjusting tape machines
  • Complete and attach UMI tags on equipment, as needed
  • Operate industrial vehicles and complete work orders for repair of equipment, when assigned
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Palletizer

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work at a fast pace
  • Must be able to identify and report any food safety and food security concerns


Physical Demands:

Regularly requires intermittent sitting, standing, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling. Physical strength and dexterity sufficient to perform the required task(s). Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more with assistance. Additional demands may be required.


Work Environment:

In addition to normal business hours, work schedules may include after hours and weekends as needed. May work outside and in adverse temperatures which include extreme hot, cold, and humidity. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. Must be willing and able to wear personal protective equipment as required by established Company Safety standards. May require work in confined and dark spaces, and at heights in excess of 18 feet for prolonged periods of time.
