Job description
ECLC is an accredited, nonprofit, educating students ages 5–21 with severe learning and/or language disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome or multiple disabilities at two schools. A separate entity called Community Personnel Services (CPS) provides post-graduate transition services and job placements to any special-needs adult, while another offshoot, the P.R.I.D.E. program, offers vocational training, independent living skills and more.
- Part-Time Personal Aides Needed (Monday - Friday/Hours to be determined)
- Assist individual student assigned in everyday routines as directed
- Respond to classroom teacher directions
- Follows and reinforces appropriate behavior management according to established school and classroom policy
- Maintains positive interactions with students, staff, and supervisors
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a high school diploma is required or equivalency - College training in special education, psychology, or related fields preferred.
- A genuine interest in helping educate students with disabilities and displays a sense of tolerance, warmth, and patience.
