POSITION: Paraprofessional(s) 1.0, multiple openings

LOCATION: Tri-City United Schools proudly serves the communities of Montgomery, Lonsdale, & Le Center

STARTING DATE: As soon as successful completion of the hiring process

SALARY: Starting salary is $12.95 per hour with possible placement on salary schedule dependent upon experience.

Fluent in Spanish or Teacher’s license; $1.00/hr additional.

REPORTS TO: Building Principal and Director of Special Services

POSITION DETAILS: TCU Staff work together in a collaborative, team-driven environment with students' learning and career, college, and life readiness skills as our focus. This position will serve an important role in our TCU mission To Empower Learners, Create Opportunities, United for Success.

Paraprofessionals work with students receiving special education services or English Language instruction under the direction of the licensed staff and perform duties to support the program in general and to meet the academic and social needs of students.

This position follows the school calendar; approximately 6.5 hours per day.

QUALIFICATIONS &EXPECTATIONS: Candidates should possess a dedication to youth and have a strong belief that every student can succeed. Requires H.S. Diploma. Prefer 2 years of post-secondary training, AA degree in child development or ability to pass the Para Pro test. Training for the specific needs of the students in the program will be provided by the district. CPI training and past experience in a school setting is helpful.
