We are currently seeking a Part Time Program Aide for our Safe Spaces program located in Jersey City, NJ.

Safe Spaces is a program providing Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to children and families in Hudson County affected by domestic violence. Safe Spaces provides groups for both children and caregivers to enhance social support, provide psychoeducation, and create a network of extended support while working through other life challenges.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Provides assistances to program staff with activities, group sessions, childcare, and transportation to persons served
• Provides clerical and administrative duties such as filling and handling calls, including the coordination of communication between staff and the department
• Completes reports, assists with data collection and data entry
• Participates in committees or team projects as assigned by the supervisor
• Works in conjunction with other staff in relationship to performance improvement initiatives
• Attends and actively participates in staff meetings, supervision, and in-service training
• Develops a working knowledge and cooperative relationship with community groups, and organizations when requested by the supervisor
• Provides services under direct supervision and carries out other duties as required

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED issued by an DOE approved testing site
• Valid driver’s license
