The Test Proctor will provide support to the activities in the ACT and Academic Testing Center.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform data entry in computer reporting system.
  • Perform testing operations with sophisticated computer software.
  • Proctor academic tests according to faculty member/ or testing specifications.
  • Administer and Score WorkKeys exams.
  • Provide accurate workforce services and test center information to Calhoun Workforce Solutions clients in business and industry, students, and other members of general public when seeking the college's services.
  • Perform computer technical support when students require assistance during online exams.
  • Promptly notify and work with appropriate Calhoun staff member regarding equipment or software problems, usual student incidents, or any factors affecting the security or integrity of the administration of examinations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to answer the phone.
  • Must not be a currently enrolled Calhoun Community College student.
  • Ability to be able to lift up to 20-30 pounds.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends and possible Saturdays.
  • Ability to work on short notification as needed.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of office information is required.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
  • Prior testing experience preferred.

Finalist will be required to provide official transcripts that are mailed directly to the Office of Human Resources at Calhoun Community College from the institution(s) granting the credits.

Background Check Requirement

In accordance with Alabama Community College System Policy and guidelines, the applicant chosen for employment will be required to sign a consent form and to submit a non-refundable $24.40 payment for a criminal background check. Employment will be contingent upon the receipt of a clearance notification from the criminal background check.
