Catholic Health Home Care manages home care services for approximately 2,000 patients daily across Long Island and Queens. Specialized services include skilled nursing care, physical and occupational therapies, medical social work, maternal-child and pediatric services, home health aide assistance, nutritional counseling, pastoral care, infusion services, telehealth, palliative care, wound care and behavioral health services.

• Schedule: 5 Days a week 8:30-4:30 ( Rotating weekends and Holidays as needed)
• Location: work out of our Melville office

Patient Accounts Representative Responsible for standard and advanced Home Care billing functions.

This includes:

• Processing of Home Care billing for Medicare, Medicaid and/or commercial payers.
• Posting of payments and adjustments to patients’ accounts.
• Review denials from payer sources and provide necessary follow-up.
• Work on Accounts Receivable reports to maintain that all payments have been received and posted accurately.
• Follow-up with outstanding accounts either electronically or speaking to insurance companies.
• Obtain necessary insurance verification for coverage. Run reports in Netsmart as necessary for financial or statistical purposes.

Qualifications:

• Microsoft Office and preferably Netsmart.
• Excellent organizational skills. Ability to troubleshoot and investigate rate discrepancies with.
• High school graduate with medical billing experience.
• Demonstrated experience in Home Care billing preferred.
• Computer experience with insurance companies
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability as well as letter writing skills.
• Other personal traits include: courtesy, discretion and professional manner.
