Hillcrest Medical Center, the flagship hospital of Hillcrest HealthCare System, is a 620-bed hospital among Oklahoma’s most widely respected and acclaimed hospitals, offering extraordinary care and a multitude of services in many areas including Oklahoma’s largest dedicated heart hospital. 4 South is a fast-paced unit that treats post-surgical spine and orthopedic intervention patients daily. A typical day on this unit could include: activating drains, reinfusing autologous blood and focusing on pain management. The most engaging part about 4 South is the teamwork. As a unit, the nurses, techs, therapist and physicians all work very closely together to make the patients their number one focus.

What You’ll Do
The successful candidate will be able to:
- Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes
- Evaluate patient’s progress toward attainment of outcomes
- Assist with the plan of care, evaluate, modify and coordinate care, and communicate well with other disciplines
- Maintain confidentiality with all information
- Perform any and all other duties as assigned
Experience
- Competent to perform in at least two general areas of practice (cross trained and cross competent to cover more than one hospital service, role, or function).
Education/Certification
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic Life Support
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of patient assistance and care procedures
- Knowledge of basic methods of personal hygiene
- Committed to health and safety standards
- Ability to apply basic nursing techniques
- Understanding of medical terminology
- Empathetic and approachable

- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
