Join our Hillcrest Medical team as a Full-time, day shift Patient Care Tech!

A typical day on this unit could include: activating drains, reinfusing autologous blood and focusing on pain management. The most engaging part about 4 South is the teamwork. As a unit, the nurses, techs, therapist and physicians all work very closely together to make the patients their number one focus.

Responsibilities:
What You’ll Do
The successful candidate will be able to:
  • Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes
  • Evaluate patient’s progress toward attainment of outcomes
  • Assist with the plan of care, evaluate, modify and coordinate care, and communicate well with other disciplines
  • Maintain confidentiality with all information
  • Perform any and all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Experience
  • Competent to perform in at least two general areas of practice (cross trained and cross competent to cover more than one hospital service, role, or function).

Education/Certification
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic Life Support

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of patient assistance and care procedures
  • Knowledge of basic methods of personal hygiene
  • Committed to health and safety standards
  • Ability to apply basic nursing techniques
  • Understanding of medical terminology
  • Empathetic and approachable
  • Demonstrate a personal interest in the health and wellbeing of others
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
