Edina Retina Consultants, established in 2006, is a busy ophthalmology practice with two physicians that focuses on diseases of the retina. We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated person to join our patient coordinator team working Wednesdays through Fridays. (Three 10 hour days - part time - 30 hours/week)

The candidate we are looking for must have excellent skills in customer service, be detail oriented, and able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment. We are also looking for an individual who is personable, loves to work with people, and has great written and verbal communication skills. Experience in handling insurance and computer scheduling is a plus, but not required.

Duties include: answering incoming phone calls, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance benefits and notifying patients of deductibles/copays that are due, prepping charts for upcoming appointments, medical records requests, pulling and filing charts, checking in and out patients at the front desk, scanning correspondence into patient's charts, distributing incoming faxes and mail, and other duties as needed pertaining to the front desk.
