We are looking for a bilingual Patient Financial Advocate to assist our patients with their financial needs. Our Patient Financial Advocates are experts in OneWorld's sliding fee scale program as well as various state, local, and federal programs. They screen patients for eligibility in these programs, collect the appropriate income documentation, and help them enroll. Our Patient Financial Advocates also discuss payment options with our patients and collect payments from them as needed, making sure to record the payments properly.

This is a full-time position located on our main campus in South Omaha (30th & L.) The schedule will be 8am-5pm, Mon-Fri. There will be occasional evenings and weekends to attend community outreach events.

To ensure the safety of our patients, employees, and communities, OneWorld Community Health Centers is requiring all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 effective November 15th, 2021. Exemptions may be granted for religious or medical accommodations.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Associate's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in both English and Spanish required.
  • 2 or more years of experience in a healthcare or financial environment preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel, required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with a high attention to detail.
  • Ability and willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends to attend community outreach events.
