PCA-Personal Care Assistant

GUARANTEED PAY $16.50 an hour for 40 Hours a week whether you work 40 hours or less.

On Call Monday-Sunday

Work in multiple locations as a fill-in

Work as needed 4 days a week with alternating weekend day.

Guardian Angels Homecare in Cheshire has a Full Time 40 Hours PCA-Personal Care Assistant position available. The ideal candidate must be compassionate, reliable, a good communicator and experienced.

Responsibilities include:

Helping with bathing/personal care/grooming/dressing/undressing

Support clients who can't move on their own/turning/positioning/transferring

Monitor skin care/observation/treatment

Ensure client receives their medication on time/Cues

Do necessary housekeeping to maintain a clean environment/Making bed

Laundry

Meal Preparation/Planning according to client's restrictions/Feeding

Grocery shopping/Errands/Accompany to medical appointments

Personal Business/Paying bills/Communications

Socialization/Conversation/Emotional support

Telephone use

Job Requirements:

Minimum of 1 year home care experience

Authorized to work in the United States

Must have a valid driver's license and your own insured vehicle

Willing to work in multiple locations as a fill-in

Willing to be on call 4 days a week and 1 weekend day a week

Must be willing to work at a home with pets

Must be willing to work in a home with a smoker

Must be able to read and write in English

Able to do housework and cooking

Hoyer lift experience is a plus

Well-organized and reliable

Excellent communication and people skills

High school diploma or equivalent
