Seeking: Certified Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist

Full Time Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 5 AM - 1:30 PM

Our nursing team provides compassionate, high quality safe and efficient medication dispensing to patients that are seeking recovery from Opioid Use Disorder.

Your Job as a Peer Recovery Coach:
The Peer Recovery Coach works with the care management team in providing a seamless continuum of care. Maintains regular and constant communication with patients to provide a set of non-clinical activities that engage, educate and offer support to patients. The Peer Recovery Coach will help patients to remove personal and environmental obstacles to health care access and help them remain in recovery.


Your Responsibilities as a Peer Recovery Coach:

  • Understand and implement the core values, principles, and tasks of the Peer Recovery Coach.
  • Role model respect, trust, sensitivity and confidentiality to patients, volunteers, and colleagues.
  • Provide support and promote healthy relationships.
  • Advocate for patients in receiving timely and coordinated services.
  • Offer support during transitions, as needed/requested.
  • Collaborate with individuals, team members, family, and caregivers.
  • Support the navigation of systems both internally and externally.
  • Promote self-advocacy and independence.
  • Co-facilitate groups to support recovery.
  • Explore possibilities, choices, skill building, goals setting and barriers with patients.
  • Knowledge of and/or willingness to learn about alternative treatment options and or medication assisted treatment.


Your Skills and Qualifications as a Peer Recovery Coach:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1-2 years of experience working in behavioral health or substance use disorder recovery setting preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
    • Certified Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist
Compensation for roles at Sacramento Comprehensive Treatment Center varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Sacramento Comprehensive Treatment Center provides a reasonable hourly range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California as set forth below.

Role Location: California
Calculated Hourly Range for role: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
