- Make an Impact! The Cardiovascular Perfusionist is responsible for the safe set-up and operation of all types of extracorporeal circulation, including long-term ECMO . The Perfusionist should be knowledgeable and proficient in the use of Autologous Blood Salvaging, Platlett Gel Therapy, and Point Of Care Testing.
