What does a successful Performance QA Engineer do at Fiserv?

As a Performance Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a critical role in the execution of performance testing for the Carat/Commerce Hub platform.

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting performance testing systems and strategies to ensure that the application doesn’t misbehave under changing user load and that no bugs or errors reach the end-users. You will work independently with senior management and technical groups globally. Utilization of business, functional and/or technical expertise is needed to effectively develop and execute the test strategy and planning activities. You will work with multiple programs/systems on projects of moderate complexity and serve as a project team member.

What you will do:

• Stay informed and cognizant of the key processes in the business and the business rules that impact the development and/or implementation of information systems.

• Drive continuous improvement through all processes, including but not limited to, team standards, test planning and test execution, as well as debugging, metric collection, and reporting.

• Understand the non-functional requirements from business

• Create API Automation scripts using JMeter with below features:

  • Parameterization

  • Assertions

  • Reusable functions

  • Correlations

  • Pacing

  • Think Time

• Design workload model

• Execute tests in JMeter /Blaze meter

• Monitor tests using Dynatrace

• Analyze the test results and identify bottleneck

• Prepare test reports

What you will need to have:

• 6+ years of applicable experience.

• Hands on experience testing in at least one of the following: APIs, RESTful/JSON web services.

• Experience with JMeter. Additional experience with either Blazemeter and/or Loadrunner.

• Experience in the integration of performance Monitoring tools such as one or more of the following: Dynatrace APPdynamics, Jprofiler

• Test automation experience using one or more of the following: QTP/UFT, JMeter, Selenium Web Driver, TOSCA, Cucumber BDD, Rest Assured.

• Bachelor’s Degree

What would be great to have:

• Experience with payment industry applications.

• Merchant Payment Processing experience – authorizations at either point-of-sale or Card-Not-Present (eCommerce/digital), clearing & settlement systems, merchant on-boarding, merchant reporting, fraud/security analytics.

• Payment Processing for Financial Institutions, specifically for debit cards, loans and/or credit card systems.

• Financial services with high-volume, large-scale processing and reporting.
