Happy Tails has been providing in-home pet services for 10 years and to nearly 800 clients. With the growth in our market and the holiday season approaching, we are looking to hire more associates to add to our In-Home Pet Sitting Team & Drop By Visit Team team. Job locations and schedules vary.

You must have a flexible schedule where you have the availability to stay overnight in the client's home, and/or during the day, and/or drop-by-visit availability. For around-the clock care, sitter cannot be gone from client's home longer than 3 hours at a time. Overnights require sitter to be in the clients home overnight from 7/8pm-7/8am. Perfect job for those who work from home or have a flexible schedule, and are looking for extra work on the side.

*Scheduling is not guaranteed or assigned as the sitter has the flexibility to pick up jobs from an online job board as they choose.*

Services & Role Needs:

Around-The-Clock Care: A Happy Tails team member will move into your home and take care of your house and pet as you would. Your assigned sitter will stay in your home and follow your schedule as you typically do in regards to feeding, walking, social time, etc. This type of care allows for a more hands-on experience and social time for your pet, where a sitter is in the home throughout the day and overnight. The sitter can leave the home for errands, other assignments, and personal obligations, but for short periods. This type of care is best for high-anxiety dogs, senior dogs, or puppies, as well as clients who want their pets to have more full-time care. Pay is $60/day with additional pet fees added for homes with more than 2 pets.

Ovennight Care: For clients who do not need around-the-clock care, this type of pet sitting is for you! This overnight pet care is still completed in your home and includes a sitter who stays overnight. The sitter will check into your home for their stay between 7 pm & 8 pm, and stay for 12 hours. You can add additional daytime drop-by visits if desired. Pay is $30/night with additional pet fees added for homes with more than 2 pets.

Drop-by Visits: A single visit for a walk, feeding, social time, medication, or a mixture of what the client requests. Visits range in time and pay from 5-60 minutes. Most popular is a 30 minute dog visits and cat visits with a pay of $12/visit.

Primarily we are looking to grow our in-home pet sitting team, but can work with applicants based on your schedule. Each pet sitter has the ability to stack services. For example, you may be doing an around the clock care stay and have the option to pick up multiple drop by visits (within limits), to add to you schedule.

Applicants Must Fit The Following Criteria:

• Willing to commit to the position for 6 months
• Live in the Columbus area
• Must be able to holidays (holiday bonus pay)
• Must be flexible in working with clients' daily routines and hours
• Be honest, reliable, and flexible
• Have a working smartphone
• Be able to work independently, while communicating with the office and clients daily
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Be service-oriented, discreet, and committed to ensuring customer satisfaction
• Be a team player with a deep appreciation for all animals
• Have a current driver's license, and reliable insured transportation
• Previous pet care experience preferred
