The Solutions Architect is the expert level architect responsible for providing quality services and solutions to our clients while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction. You are large contributors to product development, advancement, and product lifecycle.
***This remote position is available to individuals who reside in the following states: CO, FL, IL, IA, MD, MI, MN, MO, MT, NE, ND, NC, NJ, PA, SD, TX, WI, WY, VA, UT
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and maintain expert level knowledge of company products and services, sales processes, markets, trends, competitors, and clients to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Expert in all trainings and certifications offered by the clients in your area of support
- Actively participates in advisory councils for manufacturer peer groups
- Responsible for the laboratory and demonstration environments for the solutions supported
- Large contributor to product development, advancement, and management of product life-cycle
- Takes on the most complex projects offered by Marco, including projects with customization, diverse and complex duties, and projects that require one-off individual solution support.
- Sell Software solutions and services at established profit goals including prospecting, telemarketing/cold calling and lead follow-up.
- Conduct effective sales presentations and demonstration of Software Solutions products and services.
- Promote cross selling opportunities with other sales divisions, inside sales and other sales support personnel.
- Interface with Sales Representatives to develop solutions for improving customer business processes.
- Conduct new product evaluations and client facing needs analysis to understand solution requirements and develop strategic plan for implementation.
- Engineer the design, installation, support and maintenance of software solutions to completion.
- Design, integrate and maintain network services and protocols.
- Provide post installation customer service and support.
- Prepare proposals, solution recommendation documents and Statements of Work (SOWs).
- Provide on-site client software/hardware training.
- Ensure strong, effective market share of the software solutions products and services by maintaining technical competencies and certifications and attending product training and continuing education.
- Support Marco’s commitment to total customer satisfaction through active participation in the Corrective Action Request (CAR) process including prompt research and resolution.
- Provide sales consultation, design and support to Enterprise Sales Representatives including troubleshooting, conducting research, testing equipment and validating functionality
- Provide customized programming and training to the end users of production print equipment.
- Assist in generating sales leads for Enterprise Sales Representatives.
- Create and maintain training tools and materials to facilitate effective training and support.
- Research and attend necessary self-development raining to remain up-to-date with new and existing products and maintain expert status.
- Accurately maintain documentation and comply with service administrative procedures in a timely basis.
- Upkeep demo equipment and solutions centers.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Associate’s degree and six years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- Valid Driver’s License, proof of personal insurance and an acceptable driving record.
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification required.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Possess advanced knowledge of network topology and concepts, Server/OS platforms and applications, Virtualized Environments, scanning, OCR and other document management technologies.
- Possess a strong understanding of legacy and current database and printing technology.
- Proficiency with business collaboration tools such as MS Office applications, Visio, MS Project and company and client specific programs.
- Superior communication skills in working with technical and non-technical people and the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relations among all levels of an organization.
- Excellent organizational and time/task management skills .
- Ability to cultivate positive working relationships with customers and coworkers.
- Follow policies and procedures; Complete administrative tasks correctly and on time; Support organization's goals and values .
- Self-starter with the ability to perform with little or no supervision.
- Adapt to changes in the work environment; Change approach or method to best fit the situation; Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
TRAVEL:
- Frequent travel is required via automobile and airplane, occasionally requires overnight stays and includes travel to different client locations.
