Job description

Learning Bridge Early Education Center (formerly the Child Care Center of Evanston) currently has an opening for a full-time teachers in a 2- 3 year old classroom. Our NAEYC accredited Award of Excellence in Preschool Teaching and Learning Program provides full-day child care for children from 6 weeks to 5 years of age.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children under the age of 5 and their families.
• Knowledge of current theories and practices in the field of Early Childhood Education.
• The ability to work in a multicultural, interdisciplinary environment.
• To be able to work cooperatively with others in a team.
• The ability to relate information effectively with parents and children.
• Patience, maturity, and a love of very young children is a must.
• Must be computer literate, and know Microsoft word, excel, Google docs and Creative Curriculum Gold.
• This position requires flexibility, professionalism and a sense of humor.
• Spanish speaking a plus.

Education:

Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development preferred, or an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with 3 credit hours of Infant and Toddler development is accepted, A Bachelors degree with in another field with 36 credit hours of ECE is also accepted for this position.

2 years of experience working children

Ideal Candidate has Gateways certification, CPR and First Aid

Must be reliable. Children, parents and co- teachers depend upon you.
