We are seeking an experienced enterprise architect passionate about designing modern data platform architectures that drive tangible business outcomes. In this role you will provide an enterprise perspective that drives the technology vision to enable our Data and Analytics strategy. The successful candidate will lead the development of reference architectures, road maps, and modern design patterns that guide and enable teams to build highly scalable and resilient data and analytics products on our next generation, cloud enabled data ecosystem.

As a technical expert, trusted advisor, and partner you will guide company leadership to ensure coherent execution of the technology investments to fully enable the success of the enterprise strategy.

What You Will Do

Provide data architecture thought leadership to cross-functional teams in the areas of advanced data techniques, including data modeling, data access, data integration, data visualization, data discovery, database design and implementation.

Recommend and define how data architecture constructs like transactional, operational and analytical data and presentation layer data stores should be leveraged to enable business capabilities and create ease of access to data for all stakeholders.

Develop reference architectures and roadmaps that enable the data strategy and drive the modernization of the enterprise data ecosystem.

Provide actionable guidance and a clear path forward that gives business and IT partners the visibility and foresight they need to proactively manage key technology investments, risks and initiatives.

Deliver enterprise level architectural roadmaps that depict current, transitional, and future states that serve as the blue print to ensure the future-state architecture vision is translated into appropriate and implementable architecture solutions.

Provide financial analysis, including Total Cost of Ownership evaluation, in order to compare and select technology investments. Partner with Solution Architects to assess technologies and technology vendors to ensure best fit for the business and enterprise technology landscape.

Take ownership of engaging the right partners and maintaining strong relationships and influence with business and IT leaders, in order to ensure that technology investments support the corporate strategy and lead to strong value delivery and long term outcomes.

Influence, consult with and build collaborative working relationships with business and IT leadership at the Director and VP levels to help meet long term business objectives.

Act as point of connection between other architects as well as IT and business partners to ensure that project teams, vendors, and stakeholders are aligned, proceeding in compliance with corporate strategy and technology related enterprise standards and policy.

Contribute to, maintain and implement enterprise policies, processes, tools and methodologies that support architecture standards, guide technology decisions, and ensure effective evolution of the architecture within the organization.

Analyze external and internal trends and drivers that have impact on the execution of the corporate strategy. Develop proposals and recommendations that reflect strong thought leadership that enable better understanding of issues affecting the organization, proactive management of risks and cost, and increase our ability to win in the marketplace.

What You Bring

Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required)

8+ years of experience in related field.

In lieu of degree, 10+ years of experience in related field.

Technology leadership experience in architecting, designing and building highly scalable cloud based data applications, preferably in Snowflake.

Enterprise scale expertise in data architecture, data engineering and data management including data governance, data security, master data and metadata management, and data quality.

Practical experience designing event driven architecture, massive parallel and stream processing, microservices, micro-batches, and modern ETL/ELT automation techniques.

Strong foundation in modern data ecosystem technologies with hands on experience implementing scalable data ingestion, storage, processing, and publication solutions.

Experience with one or more modern advanced business intelligence & visualization solutions (such as Power BI, Tableau).

High level understanding of data modeling (both normalized and star schemas) with the ability to influence and drive data modeling quality across conceptual, logical, and physical layers.

Hands on experience designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines & architecture for large scale data warehouse, data lake, and data lakehouse implementations.

Ability to facilitate and lead design workshops and drive interaction with Business and IT stakeholders to influence engineering and product / platform decisions

Proven experience delivering in the Enterprise Architecture Domain (Reference architecture, Target Architecture, Governance, Design principles and Patterns, Defining roadmaps).

Extensive experience creating executive level presentations and guiding strategic discussions with senior management.

Strong customer service orientation; ability to communicate effectively, influence and drive consensus across multiple levels.

Previous work experience within the healthcare industry & familiarity with healthcare data.
