Overview

The Mastercard Networks Exchange Program is a comprehensive platform that connects business with a global network of payment providers, enabling Secure and seamless transactions anywhere, anytime for their Authorization, Clearing, Settlement and Exception Processing Needs.

The Mastercard Networks Exchange Program is seeking Principle Technical Program Manager who will work across teams to organize and accelerate delivery, ensuring all teams are delivering in a coordinated manner while tracking and managing manifest definitions, release integration timing and scope. In addition, this position will have responsibility to manage, improve and structure relationships with some of Mastercard's most strategic vendors. The responsibilities will include building strong relationships with internal and external organizations to better align with Networks Exchange strategic plan. Manage risks, escalate impediments, confirm value delivery, and assist in driving consistent improvement. The ideal candidate is passionate about the customer experience journey, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset.

• Works across teams and supplier organizations to organize and accelerate delivery, ensuring all teams are delivering in a coordinated manner
• Tracks and manages manifest definitions, release integration, timing, scope and delivery.
• Provides ongoing updates (with data) on the state of delivery
• Proactively manages all dependencies, ensuring all outputs are production ready at launch

Responsibilities

• Drive overall strategy and teams inside and outside of your organization to deliver the expected results, influence dependent organization’s roadmaps by contributing to their planning documents and goal setting exercises.
• Define and organize the work, outline tenets, analyze data, drive performance improvements, and influence resource allocation for all stages of execution
• Trusted to operate with complete independence and focus on ambiguous areas. Creates the correct sense of urgency for delivery. Identifies and fills gaps between regions, architectures, and organizations. Work sets the example for others to follow. Manages escalations (is escalated to).
• Manages across the portfolio assessing business/technical trade-offs while working across organizations for ways to align teams, technologies (i.e., the infrastructure used to build/deploy/operate services), and organizations into approaches that optimize organizational structures and operating mechanisms. Adept at building consensus and leading resolution of contentious issues.
• Communicates complex issue and decision in clear and concise summaries to all types of audiences. Communications are instructional (i.e., provide insights and lessons learned). Drive mindful discussion with business and technical stakeholders that lead to timely decisions
• Drives simplification in complex architectures/integrations to enable speed of delivery within a program area. Knows when additional technical guidance is required (i.e., from principal engineers and SMEs). May be considered an expert in a particular technology, product, or domain.
• Business outcome may be defined, program/product/technical strategy is not. Embraces ambiguity and confusion as an opportunity to step up and drive clarity of execution across the board.
• Decomposes complex processes into simple straight forward solutions. Force multiplier - educates the larger TPM and engineering community on best practices within (organization, location, program). Contributions are noteworthy and recognized across Mastercard (i.e., bottleneck reduction, engineer efficiency, product quality)
• Manage strategic vendor/supplier and technology provider relationships at an executive level with regular cadence of meetings and periodic reporting updates to key stakeholders
• Manage and align Mastercard’s business initiatives and with the vendor/supplier deliveries
• Manage, align and drive Mastercard’s business initiatives with the vendor/supplier including but not limited to: Roadmaps, Project & Delivery Status, Issue Mitigation and Resolution, Billing, Contract Negotiations, Tracking identified issues/defect with vendor POC’s and Mastercard team till closure
• Drive, schedule and manage routine Project Meetings as well as Executive Meetings.
• Communicate roll up of vendor related issues and status in a concise, accurate, and professional manner for senior leadership consumption, escalating blocking issues when appropriate
• Work across multiple MasterCard teams to ensure that the vendors are delivering on time and delivering the product of services defined in the contract
• Work with the Sourcing and Supplier Management team to adhere to Mastercard’s Supplier Performance Management policy and guidelines including developing, tracking, assessing, and managing supplier performance against KPI’s on the respective vendor/supplier.
• Participate in various vendor audit programs at Mastercard (For e.g., TPRM (Third Part Risk Management), maintain risk management related documentation an update as required.
• Partner with vendors that provide technology or user experience design components that support our architecture and work with vendors on our implementation plans and roadmaps
• Developing and sustaining long-standing relationships with associated vendors
