The Product Development Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the overall objectives of the Product Development Team, working with us at every step as we take products from the Creative Team’s direction to launch. You are meticulous with details, and possess a sharp eye for quality. You are excited to learn how fine products are carefully crafted, tested and launched into the market. Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• 
  Assist the Product Development Manager in all aspects of the development of new products, including receiving, reviewing and documenting prototypes; shipping swatches to vendors, monitoring vendor communication, preparing vendor notes, and preparing new products for turnover to the Manufacturing and Merchandising Teams
• Work as the liaison between Product Development and other operational teams such as Manufacturing, Quality Management, and the Fulfillment Center
• Prototype production: Support internal prototype manufacturing process and product performance testing for new and/or changed products.
• Sample Management: Track, receive, document and review samples with the Product Development Manager. Ensure samples are labeled, logged and sent to the Creative Team for review, or stored and organized for future development initiatives
• Product Specifications: Train with the Product Development Manager to learn Matouk Product Specifications, to assist in providing specifications of new products to Matouk Manufacturing partners, including labeling and packaging
• Documentation: Record all Product Development and Matouk vendor meetings with detailed notes and followup, support PD Team on Trello board updates, and assist with vendor project scopes
• Quality Assurance Team Support: Assist Product Development by participating in quality assurance meetings and assisting with QA tasks as directed
• Research: Engage in market research as directed, on new techniques, machines or materials

Qualification Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• 3 to 5 years related experience
• Interest in and passion for the craftsmanship of luxury products
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate computer literacy and digital knowledge, including Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator
• Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and time management skills and dedicated to keeping development samples categorized and easy to find
• Can-do attitude with ability to be flexible, stretch and grow
• A results oriented, product-oriented and motivated individual
• A good listener, skilled in capturing all pertinent project information
• Highly organized and comfortable working independently and taking ownership of essential projects
