Job description
The Production Worker performs a variety of production and packing operations, performs quality checks, and adheres to food safety policies in the production and manufacture of gluten free specialty food products.
Essential Responsibilities:
· Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances.
· Place products in equipment, trays, or on work surfaces for further processing, inspecting, or wrapping.
· Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
· Prepare needed supplies to begin and end production processes.
· Examines and inspects containers, materials, and products to ensure that packing/quality specifications are met.
· Responsible for correctly labeling boxes.
· Maintains clean, organized work areas and securely stores equipment and supplies
· Understand and follow verbal instructions to completion of assigned tasks.
· Be willing and available to cross train on various workstations; be flexible in transitioning to different stations based on production flow.
· Safely and efficiently perform tasks on the production line.
· Follow all Food Safety Standards as set forth by Bristol Bakery.
· Adheres to safety guidelines. Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
· Possess a positive, and team-centered attitude.
· Ability to read and understand procedures in English.
· Perform other related duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
High School or GED minimum
Minimum 1 year of Food preparation experience preferred
Must be fast-paced and work with a sense of urgency
Must have great attention to detail
Must have good communication & team-work skills.
Must have good organization and time management skills.
Must have an excellent record in the areas of safety, attendance, performance and discipline.
Ability to work in hot, hectic environment, stand, walk, bend, use hands and appliances, and lift heavy items for extended periods
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate may sit, climb or balance, talk or hear. The associate may move and lift materials up to 50 pounds.
