Olam is seeking a self-motivated individual for a critical position in our Bolingbrook, IL Cocoa Processing Facility and Warehouse. The successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, be highly organized, detail oriented and thrives in a culture of teamwork and collaboration.

Primary Responsibilities of the Production Worker Include:

• Work with production team on both the packaging line and raw material processing to achieve plant safety, quality, and production goals.
• Participate in daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly master sanitation schedule completion.
• Demonstrate the ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
• Follow all plant Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Identify and communicate potential non-conformances.
• Maintain accurate documentation.
• Operate a powered industrial truck to pick, put away, stage, and ship raw materials and finished goods.
• Use a handheld scanner to perform production, shipping, and inventory transactions.
• Introduce raw materials into blending and milling system by following a process order.
• Utilize PC based HMI to control various processing equipment.
• Perform CCP checks and magnet checks throughout production.
• Monitor packaging lines to temporarily backfill for primary packaging operator.
• Monitor palletizer to temporarily backfill for primary packaging operator.
• Assist packaging operators by staging and preparing raw materials for use.
• Other duties as assigned to achieve facility goals.

Duties and Skills:

• Demonstrate an understanding of plant safety, quality, and efficiency goals.
• Attend daily Tier 1 meetings and provide status updates in shift handoff.
• Perform operator level adjustments to processing equipment where appropriate.
• Provides support to all functions including quality and warehouse daily; outside of original job scope if needed
• Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication.

Position Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED, required.
• Computer proficiency to learn other applications with basic instruction
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Able to lift 55lbs
• Basic math skills
