We are looking for a patient-centered, experienced Medical Program Coordinator to lead White Bird Clinic’s medical team to maximize the services and resources we provide to our community members. What You’ll Do:
The Medical Program Coordinator provides leadership and direction to sustain and expand the medical program’s capacity to deliver primary care medical services to underserved community members. You’ll work directly with the Medical Operations Coordinator and Health Center Administrator, you’ll represent White Bird Clinic’s medical program in the local professional and planning communities, you’ll strengthen and improve coordination between the medical program and other White Bird programs, and you’ll collaborate closely with the grants team.
Responsibilities include:
- Program Management & Compliance
- Oversees medical program development and planning guided by Medical Director
- Oversees Patient-Centered Primary Care Home (PCPCH) program management, including the quality improvement/quality assurance program and project management related to compliance/reporting in coordination with the Health Center Administrator
- Coordinates and leads program development and population-based healthcare management initiatives and/or projects guided by Medical Director
- Collaborates with the White Bird Clinic leadership team in the ongoing development of the Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and compliance with all FQHC-related mandates, reporting, and requirements
- Works with the medical operations coordinator to develop and prioritize quality initiatives for the Quality Improvement/Quality Assurance program
- Manages and trains staff on management of complex projects including the areas of compliance and reporting
- Collaborates with the HIPAA Compliance Officer as the Medical Program HIPAA Security Officer
- Finance - Assist the Interim Program Coordinator, Medical Director and Program staff in understanding the operational and clinical implications of financial decisions as they arise.
Fiscal & Grant Management:
- Collaborates with agency finance staff to track, manage, and forecast program finances
- Provides leadership in ongoing efforts to increase encounters, billing, and revenue in the pursuit of revenue maximization
- Partners with the grants team to identify opportunities, inform the drafting of proposals, and review final documents
- Collaborates with fiscal and grants team to ensure compliance with funder mandates and reporting requirements
As member of White Bird Clinic’s medical team:
- Collaborates with the Medical Operations Coordinator and Medical Director
- Works with other White Bird programs to participate in the development of effective workflows for improving agency-wide coordinated patient care.
- Represents the medical program in agency strategic and tactical planning
- Represents the medical program in internal agency meetings including ProCo, Community, and additional meetings as needed
- Represents the medical program in regional partnerships such as CCO/Coordinated Care Meetings
Requirements include:
- Five (5) years of experience in progressively more responsible medical administrative position(s)
- Three (3) years of experience in a primary care medical clinic or equivalent
- Extensive knowledge of Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) requirements
- Working knowledge of PCPCH, the Health Resources Services Administration, Population Based Healthcare, and/or the Plan-Do-Study-Act quality assurance framework
- Working knowledge and/or experience with metrics-based management techniques
- Experience coordinating the integration of all aspects of electronic health records (EHR) into clinical practice
- Strong project management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills
- Proven leadership and relationship management skills
- Experience integrating behavioral health care into primary care practice
- Ability to work independently and to a deadline
Preferred:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (multilingual speakers are encouraged to apply)
- Experience in working in a collective environment
