POSITION SUMMARY:

The Temporary Program Facilitator will connect participants with career exploration, job search, placement, and retention program services. Additionally, the Program Facilitator will provide related training both in-house and community based, to adult learners. This position is responsible for facilitating individual service plan development and supporting participants in accessing the full menu of needed and available services to attain established goals.

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Complete required enrollment and orientation paperwork for all participants.
  • Maintain consistent communication with students and instructors and maintain up-to-date case notes of all interactions.
  • Provide referrals to career services for job specific training, ensuring that individuals’ needs are met, goals are implemented, and a safe environment is maintained.
  • Facilitate program operations, including program implementation and supporting participants and/or volunteers, so program and participants meet goals and acquire necessary resources.
  • Report on overall program status and progress per established guidelines and time frames, including but not limited to time and attendance, goal plans, etc. needed to support the participant and program meeting established goals.
  • Regularly conduct assessment for all students remotely or in-person.

Status: Part-time, temporary (three months, with the possibility of extension)

Location: Lawrenceville Workforce Development Center - 118 52nd Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15201

External Hiring Range: $18.25 up to $18.98/hour

Travel Required: Yes, travel to sites within Allegheny County will be required on a regular basis.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, daylight and evening hours.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree AND no experience required.

Preferred Experience: Teaching, instruction, or facilitation experience highly preferred.

REQUIRED CLEARANCES, LICENSES, AND CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Candidates are expected to provide current, valid clearances (Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprints Clearance, and PATCH) prior to their first day of employment.
