Program Manager

The Center for Excellence in Education (CEE), an internationally renowned education nonprofit in the Tysons Corner, VA area, nurtures high school and university students to careers of excellence and leadership in STEM and encourages collaboration between and among scientific and technological leaders in the global community. CEE is seeking a Program Manager for STEM Lyceums, a program that engages high school students in discussions and explorations of STEM concepts and STEM career pathways through direct interaction with STEM professionals.

Position Responsibilities:

• Create event material (i.e. agendas, presentations, promo flyers, etc.), coordinate event logistics (including sourcing speakers), and host event meetings and webinars
• Track program metrics and program evaluation
• Collaborate with the Development team on grant writing and strategic relationship building with donors and prospects
• Coordinate student outreach efforts and build relationships with school districts, school leaders, and teacher networks
• Manage virtual STEM education resources for students
• Manage program databases and contact lists

Position Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree, preferably in Education and/or a STEM field
• Working knowledge of the current landscape of formal and informal STEM education
• Ability to work independently and prioritize project timelines
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, motivational and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office 365, and some familiarity with online social platforms and website content management platforms

This is a full-time position starting immediately. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Flexible hours between 7:30 AM and 7:00 PM, Monday – Friday. To apply, please send a resume and cover letter by May 31, 2023.
