The Capital Area Division (CAD) of Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking a Project Analyst with demonstrated experience supporting project managers with budget analysis, cost projections, project reporting, purchasing tracking, and overall subcontract administration. The ideal candidate will be under limited supervision and must be able to support various division staff in multiple geographical locations.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee Government Inventory Program
  • Maintain accurate and up to date cost tracking and assist Project Managers with preparation of budget and spend plans
  • Maintain awareness of deliverable schedules for multiple projects, preparing monthly and weekly cost reports where required
  • Provide latest spending charts and graphs for Project Monthly Review (PMR)
  • Track status of contractor invoices and purchases to ensure project stays within budget
  • Complete administrative actions in E-Office (ARA software) for project plans
  • Extract accounting and project cost data from Deltek CostPoint

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 2 - 5 years of related work experience

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other MS Office applications

  • Experience using budgeting and accounting software

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work proactively and achieve results without close supervision

  • Organized individual, with excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and able to change priorities quickly and work effectively under deadlines

  • US citizen

  • Ability to obtain and maintain Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with government property inventory
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint
