Job Description

The Department of Psychiatry within the School of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated and engaged Project Coordinator for the Center for Excellence Grant program (MO-Child). This position works closely with the Program Director to support and coordinate activities that ensure compliance with the Missouri Center for Excellence (MO-Child) contracts. MO-Child works with child serving state departments and community partners to support the social and emotional well-being of children.

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Serve on the implementation team for a state-wide social/emotional learning project. The Program Coordinator will identify early childhood programs within the state that meet program requirements. Includes marketing the program through extensive outreach across the state and coordinating trainings.

  • Responsibilities include achieving project deliverables and escalate issues that affect project deliverables, provide timely and on-going communication to appropriate stakeholders as well as update and monitor a project tracking tool.

  • Build relationships and engage stakeholders and early childhood professionals; maintain positive interpersonal relationships; and exhibit effective written and oral communication skills.

  • Work with program director to ensure all project deliverables are met. This will be carried out by assisting with collecting data, quarterly reports and tracking and report outcomes, effort, and effectiveness of program.

  • Other job-related duties as needed.

Salary

Salary Range: $24.04 - $28.85 hourly

Grade: GGS - 009

Monday – Friday

8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Grant funded position ends July 14, 2023. May be renewed for one additional year upon approval of funder.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in early childhood, or pre-k, and/or lower elementary education.
