Smithworks Creative Arts, LLC creates themed, interactive and immersive environments, exhibits and displays. We are seeking the right, talented person to join our creative team as a project manager.
This position will present new and exciting challenges as we work with clients all over the country (an now internationally) on very creative and challenging projects.
Primarily, all work is done at our shop in North Charleston. However, occasional travel may be required (typically no more than 2 or 3 times a year).

Beneficial knowledge and experience:
- Carpentry/fabrication shop experience
- Knowledge of carpentry materials and processes
- Production management
- CAD skills such as Sketchup
- Office computer skills
Primary responsibilities include:
- Communicating with clients to fully understand the goals of the project.
- Working closely with the Production Manager and fabrication team to communicate the details and goals of the projects.
- Tracking the progress of projects to assure timelines and deadlines are met.
- Researching and procuring materials and supplies needed for each project.
- Tracking budget spending for each project.
- Assuring quality standards are met for each element within each project.
- Managing projects from inception to completion.
Job Type: Full-time
- Pay: $24 per hour to start for the first 90 days then changes to salary of $50k - $60K based on performance. Additional increases in pay will be available.
- Schedule: Mon. - Thurs. 7:30am - 5:30pm, Fri. 7:30am - 11:30am
