The Learning & Leader Development Team are part of the Talent & Development Centre of Excellence, driving a world class learner experience for all employees. Our focus ranges from delivering leadership for all through our Flagship Experiences – Leading Self; Leading People; Leading Business, to curating the core curriculum needed to build capabilities and management skills across the enterprise; coaching and feed forward; professional skills; to providing the technologies, processes and infrastructure that drives our culture of development, a key part of our people and sustainability strategic priority.

We are now hiring for a Project Manager – Global Leader, Manager & Team Development Projects to join our team. This role will be accountable for the project management of global learning projects from initiation to implementation within agreed constraints of time, budget and quality. Working with the team to source solutions and ensuring that business requirements are effectively captured and have a good knowledge of different supplier solutions that could support projects, also responsible for risk management, benefits & value management, and as appropriate resolves or escalates identified risks and issues. Ensures that project teams adopt quality and compliance standards, policies and procedures, and supports project assurance activities; drives continuous process improvements

Typical Accountabilities:

  • Develop detailed plans, tracking key breakthroughs and deliverables

  • Manage dependencies and key risks across the portfolio

  • Support team members in executing the appropriate plans ensuring remain up to date, rigorously tracking line items, resolving issues and escalating when required

  • Ensure a balance of short- and long-term planning through weekly / quarterly meetings to look ahead and also focus on the short-term deliverables

  • Create contingency plans as required and applicable

  • Ensure data requirements are met

  • Oversee the project budgets and track spend, highlighting potential issues

  • Administer third parties to ensure they deliver on time, to the agreed SLA and within budget

  • Track benefits to demonstrate the delivery of the business case and the agreed return on investment

Essential requirements

  • Exceptional organisational skills, high level of flexibility and ability to manage detail

  • Experience of global projects

  • Ability to follow processes

  • Ability to use online project management tools

  • Ability to follow processes, and create and maintain efficient ways of working for both self and others

  • Experience of a variety of software/systems

  • Can create and maintain systems for efficiency for both self and others

  • Customer Service Skills

  • The interpersonal skills to ‘chase’ people in a positive manner

  • Good written communication skills

Desirable requirements:

  • You have led a global (or large scale) projects

  • You are flexible and adapt your working style to support project needs

  • Active learner with a strong focus on continuous improvement
