Scheduling in solar takes a detail focused person who understands, or is eager to learn, the steps required for a solar project to be "ready-to-schedule." In fact, many of those steps are controlled by outside entities such as local utilities, city jurisdictions and even suppliers. Being skilled at tracking and updating these projected timelines in our CRM, allows you to show off your true superpower; anticipating when jobs will be ready-to-install in order to book the calendar out as far as possible. Now, here is where your adaptability and true resilience shines, the schedule must also be flexible enough to handle unforeseen weather delays or other surprise roadblocks.

You would work closely with Field Management, Purchasing and Project Management in weekly scheduling meetings to confirm which crews are best equipped to handle the upcoming jobs and to discuss anticipated timelines required for completion. You would then map out the schedule - all while making sure production numbers are maximized.

Proactive communication is also key with this role, therefore having the natural ability to share information about schedule changes or needs to key stakeholders ensures success for all.

If you enjoy building strong working relationships, multi-departmentally, then this role will give you that opportunity. You must also enjoy the analytical side of workforce management, as this role collects and reports out scheduling data and shares it with department heads for continuous improvement purposes.

WHO WOULD NOT ENJOY THIS ROLE:

THE DETAILS:

This role is full-time, exempt status and based out of our office in Chandler. Hours are typically between 7 am to 4 pm to align with other department hours and some afterhours work may be needed on occasion. Schedule flexibility can be discussed once candidate is fully trained and up to speed. If something is needed sooner please bring to our attention during the application/interview process. Sun Valley Solar performs Skills Assessments plus Background and Drug Screens (we exclude testing for THC) on all final candidates.
