ICL is recruiting Board-Certified and New York State-licensed Psychiatrists and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners to work various sites, including:
Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) (Bronx),
Intensive Mobile Treatment (IMT) (Bronx, Brooklyn and Staten Island) IMT Teams provide treatment and support services for people with frequent contact with the mental health, substance use, criminal justice, and homeless services systems offering sustained engagement for people with histories of complex and continued trauma who may be highly transient either within the community - between residences, shelters, or boroughs - or between the community and institutional settings such as jails or hospitals. They work to reduce incidents of violence and/or criminal justice involvement and promote social inclusion and a sense of individual responsibility.

Our providers must demonstrate a trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, integrated and person-centered approach to working with individuals and families affected by mental illness and substance use disorders and must be motivated to work in community settings. Both ACT and IMT require home- and community-based visits.
ICL is a leading community behavioral health agency offering a diverse and expanding continuum of services, including:
- An integrated health hub in East New York addressing primary and behavioral health care as well as the social determinants of health
- Assertive community treatment (ACT) teams and ACT-like (IMT) models to provide mobile services to people with high behavioral health needs. ICL is adding four new IMT teams this year.
- A Personal Recovery Oriented Service (PROS) program promoting participants’ achievement of vocational, housing and relationship goals
- Shelter-based behavioral and primary health care
- an array of supported housing models, from shelter to permanent housing, and including housing for people with developmental disabilities
- Care coordination, wraparound services, and home and community-based services (HCBS)
An opportunity to participate in the NYU Public Psychiatry Fellowship Program or the CHN Nurse Practitioner Fellowship Program may be supported for qualified candidates.
Salaries are competitive and benefits are generous. Full-time and part-time positions are available. Board certification is required for NPs at or near the time of hire. MDs must be board certified or eligible. Child psychiatry certification and Spanish language skills are desirable.
