Quality Assurance Assistant

Established Aluminum Brazing and heat treating facility based in Sun Valley is seeking a Quality Department Assistant. This individual must be a self-starter who can accomplish results in a fast-paced environment, highly motivated and a team player. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and advanced computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Excel and Access. Employee must have a high attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under pressure, handle multiple projects and priorities with an innate ability to take complex situations and simplify them. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Quality Control/Quality Assurance and be familiar with basic quality inspection tools (i.e. calipers). Applicant must be able to speak, read and write in Spanish.

Responsibilities:

· Will be responsible for the review and maintenance of all controlled documents to ensure process and product reliability

· Will be tasked with applying their knowledge of quality assurance standards and procedures to in-process situations

· Support Production Department with Quality issues

· Plan, prioritize and organize work with appropriate timeliness

· Working experience with formal Quality Improvement techniques

· Heat treat experience is preferred but not required

· Assisting the Quality Director in daily tasks (including but not limited to – preparing documents needed for audits, preparing employee forms for in-house training, assisting on Corrective Action responses)

· Will be required to interact with both suppliers and customers

Candidate should have a High School Diploma but a Bachelor's would be preferred. Candidate must be organized with a high attention to detail. Candidate should have good communication skills - both oral and written. Candidate should have experience in Quality and be able to use basic Quality inspection tools. Candidate should be able to type at least 45 WPM. Candidate should have experience in Customer Service.

Hours: Monday - Friday 830am - 500pm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $26.00 per hour
